What if I don’t know what style of cake I want?

That’s okay! I will design a cake especially for you based on what your cake is for. Just describe the recipient or event in your order, and let me get to work on my design.

When should I place my order?

The earlier you can place your order the better. Please place your order at least two weeks before the pick up date at the latest. Remember that orders are not official until you have made your deposit.

What payment methods are accepted?

My preferred payment methods are Venmo or PayPal. Under very rare special circumstances I can accept cash prior to delivery.

What if I need to cancel?

I have a no refund policy.  Alpenglow Cakes requires a non-refundable deposit of at least half of the final price on the date of booking.  The remaining balance is due 1 week before the event date.  The client understands that should they cancel their order, that deposit is non-refundable, and the rest is refundable at the discretion of Alpenglow Cakes, based on what has been spent in preparation for the order and/or what profits were lost on other potential cake orders.

How will we communicate?

All communication will be conducted over email. It is vital that you add alpenglowcakes@gmail.com to your safe emails addresses so that my emails don’t get stuck in spam.

How do I get my cakes when they are ready?

At this time, I deliver all cakes, unless the client wants to pick up their cake. If you pick up your cake, I package cakes in a protective cake box. Place your cake on a flat surface and drive very carefully! I cannot be held responsible for the cakes/cupcakes/cookies once they are in your possession.

How should I store my cakes?

Cakes are best stored in your refrigerator and eaten within 2-3 days. Bring the cake to room temperature for 45 - 60 minutes prior to eating. Heat sealed cookies last about two weeks at room temperature.

Please never leave cakes out in summer heat or direct sunlight. Your cakes will melt if kept above room temp.

Can you make gluten or allergy free cakes?

All Alpenglow Cake products are made in my home kitchen, with supplies that are regularly used to process nuts and gluten. Therefore, persons with any nut, gluten, or other food allergies consume bakes at their own risk. Unfortunately, I cannot create allergy safe bakes because of these limitations.

Do you use fondant on your cakes?

I specialize in buttercream cakes and have experience working with fondant! I will occasionally use fondant for certain cake decor elements, but have moved away from covering an entire cake in it.

Do you offer cake tasting?

Not at this time.
